Acupuncturist, Herbalist & Healer

Diane has been studying Chinese medicine for over 20 years.  Initially licensed in 2001, she attended Academy for Five Element Acupuncture, in Florida.  She studied Five Element acupuncture with J.R. Worsley and his senior students who received his transmission.  Since 1999, she has been a devoted student of Master Jeffrey Yuen, an 88TH generation priest and preeminent teacher of Classical Acupuncture.  She is deeply influenced by Jeffrey Yuen’s expanded vision of Chinese medicine. Her studies with Jeffrey include certificate programs in Advanced Acupuncture, Chinese Hers, Dietary Therapy, Essential Oils and Stone Medicine.  Diane has also studied numerous medical specialties, diagnostic and advanced theory classes with him.  Most dear to her are the classes and retreats relaying the Daoist Cannon and meditations.

Statement on Healing

My skill set is unique in both background and application.  She utilizes the five channel systems from a Classical perspective. It allows a flexible and expanded model which give access to the medicine in its full application, with potential to address most conditions and for personal cultivation.  I do not see a limitation to its application for that which we encounter in life.  This approach is different from TCM, a simplified approach most commonly taught and practiced in the United States.

In additional to the common tools of acupuncture and Chinese herbs, I may recommend dietary changes.  For some clients I incorporate essential oils or stones- employing these modalities as reflections of the Chinese medical model.

I adhere to the Chinese adage, “One disease many treatments, many diseases one treatment”. You will have an individualized diagnosis that recognizes the complexity of disease process and its contributing factors and your status of health. Together we make a plan to return to health. Above all else, I challenge patients to see themselves as their most potent medicine, whatever the condition.

Through the years, my practice emphasized different specialties – gynecology, fertility and pregnancy, pediatrics, mental/emotional conditions, neurology and dermatology. I am a general practitioner, and open the door to all conditions, welcoming all who seek change.
